Tipp earns titles at Herb Hartman Invit.

In a very competitive Herb Hartman Invitational track meet at Troy, the Tippecanoe squads both competed well, with the boys finishing fifth overall in the meet and the girls placing sixth.

Several Tipp athletes put together good times in the running events, highlighted by a championship in the boys 100 by Will Strong, who ran 11.09 to bring home the gold. 

The day started for Tipp with the girls 4x8 team finishing fourth overall with a 10:20.06 while in the boys event, they finished tenth just outside of the top eight which awarded team points. 

In the boys 100 hurdles, Myles David Sessions finished tenth with an 18.75.

With Will Strong capturing the boys 100, it was Megan Strong who finished second in the girls event, as the Tipp junior ran 12.74. Also placing in the top eight was Julia Burgbacher who ran 13.51 to place seventh overall.

The Tipp girls 4x2 also landed a championship, running 1:44.70 and edging Mason who was a close second. The Tipp team consisted of Kenzie Curry, Maryn Perrault, Burgbacher, and Strong. 

Delaney Stout was second in the girls 1600, running a time of 5:30.37, well behind Elle Campbell of Milford. In the boys race, Landon Kimmel ran 4:21.29, and earned the championship but it was razor sharp at the end, with Henry Newman of Milford just .09 seconds behind for second. Everett Muhlenkamp was fourth for Tipp with a time of 4:30.77.

Tipp was seventh in the girls 4x1 (52.82) and the boys were fourth (44.34).

Perrault, only a freshman for Tipp, was third in the girls 400 with a time of 1:00.73 and Ali Turner was eighth (1:04.49). Grant Titley was second in the boys 400 with a finish of 50.26.

Strong came back in the girls 200 and finished second with a 25.88. 

In the final running events, the Tipp girls placed sixth in the 4x4 relay (4:22.40) while the boys were second (3:29.03).

Trey Sellers was third in the boys high jump with a jump of 6-foot, while in the long jump, Tipp had an eighth place finisher in the girls (Burgbacher, 14’ 9.5”), while Will Strong was second in the boys 22’ 1.25”.

Finally in the boys pole vault, Tipp had two top eight finishers. Oliver Ranly was sixth at 12’6” and Jameson Farkas was seventh at 12’.
