Chipotle coming to Tipp City, along with Goodwill location

A Chipotle restaurant location is planned for the former Burger King site.

City continues work to secure a grocery store

While Tipp City continues to work toward securing a highly requested grocery store, two smaller projects are moving forward.

One project is the sale of the former Frisch's building, which will become a Goodwill. The project is still moving through the due diligence period, so construction timing has not yet been formally scheduled. “Once the remaining details are finalized, we expect a clearer start date to be announced,” said Matt Sprimg, city development director.

The second project is a Chipotle at the former Burger King.

“This project is also active, though similarly in the pre-construction phase. Site planning and approvals are progressing, but a definitive construction start has not yet been set,” Spring said. “The momentum on these two developments is a positive signal. They reflect continued interest and confidence in Tipp City as a strong retail and service market, and they help reinforce the broader economic development efforts underway by activating key sites and increasing foot traffic in existing centers."

No agreement has been reached for the Long property off County Road 25A and Ohio 571, even though local rumors say otherwise, said City Manager Eric Mack.

The city is working with Woodard Development on a development plan for the shopping center and the area near I-75 and Ohio 571.
