A New Year and Forward Progress
Aaron Moran, Superintendent, Tipp City Schools
The start of a new year often brings a renewed sense of focus, and that has undoubtedly been the case across Tipp City Schools this January. After winter break, students and staff returned to classrooms ready to learn, reconnect, and move forward into the second semester. We thank our families and community members for your ongoing support in helping us start strong.
Winter months always bring a mix of challenges and opportunities. Weather can impact schedules, but it also highlights the importance of thoughtful planning and flexibility. Our goal remains the same: to keep students learning at school whenever it is safe to do so, while communicating clearly with families when conditions require adjustments. We appreciate the understanding and patience during these winter weeks.
January has also been an exciting time for district facilities. One very visible change is the removal of the old bus barn and maintenance building. For those traveling along Hyatt Street, the cleared site now offers a clear view of the new Tipp City Schools Operations Center. This modern facility supports both transportation and maintenance services. Seeing that space open up is a tangible reminder of progress and of the long-term planning underway across the district, inspiring pride and a sense of shared achievement in our community.
At the same time, work continues behind the scenes to refine plans for upcoming improvements at Tippecanoe High School. These conversations have focused on updates that support both safety and learning, including a new roof over the gymnasium and CPA, flooring upgrades, and a few classroom reconfigurations designed to better meet today’s educational needs. Renovation work is scheduled to begin this summer, and we look forward to sharing more as plans are finalized.
Beyond buildings and schedules, January is also a reminder of what makes our schools special — the daily moments of learning, creativity, collaboration, and kindness that happen in classrooms, hallways, and activities across the district. Whether through academics, athletics, the arts, or community service, our students continue to represent Tipp City with pride.
We thank our families and community members for your ongoing support of Tipp City Schools. Your continued partnership is vital in helping us provide safe, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences for all students.
