City Manager Weekly Update
Please see the highlights from this past week along with some upcoming items that will impact Tipp City in the coming weeks.
Amokee Watermain Replacement Project- This week, Coate Construction will begin work on replacing the old, undersized water main on Amokee Place. This project will improve water pressure and fire flow in the area while reducing the risk of future maintenance issues. Construction is expected to last approximately 45 days. Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the area.
EMS Provider of the Year- At this week’s City Council meeting, Courtney Dean was recognized as the City’s EMS Provider of the Year. Courtney was selected for this honor by her peers within the department. Congratulations to Courtney on this well-deserved recognition.
Talk of Tipp- This week, I had the opportunity to attend the Talk of Tipp, a quarterly Tipp City Chamber of Commerce event that brings together chamber members to network and discuss current happenings in the community.
Ohio Legislature Meetings- The City continues to pursue outside funding sources for current and future projects. Next week, I will be meeting with our state legislators in Columbus to discuss our uptown redevelopment efforts and the need for additional funding, with the goal of seeking support through the upcoming state capital budget.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement with our city's progress.
