Bethel hosts an amazing homecoming week

The Friday night lights are back on, shining over the Bethel football team for their homecoming game on September 25, 2026. They battled Riverside for the win but lost 24-41. Despite this, the team played their best to fight for the win.

Before the game, the homecoming parade took place, as the students on homecoming court drove around the track and walked across the field to represent their grade and the crowning of the queen and king.

The freshmen representatives were Georgia Mohler and Benjamin Tate, sophomores were Cadence Henson and Liam Williams, and Junior representatives were Gwenyth Buford and Mason Stortenbecker. These students represented their classes well and stood alongside the seniors as they anxiously awaited the queen and king announcement. The senior representatives on homecoming court were Mia Sta. Ana and Braden Shoup, Khloee Young and Brody Kohorst, Raeghan Linton and Braylen Stegner, Kalley Burket and Logan Plozay, and Addisyn Kohorst and Justin Brinson. Finally, the moment came to announce the queen and king. The prince and princess led the way, Mia Sta. Ana was crowned princess, and Justin Brinson was prince. Homecoming queen is Kalley Burket, and homecoming king is Logan Plozay. It was an amazing night for everyone, and the weekend leading up to it was an amazing event.

The student council put together a spirit week for Bethel high schoolers leading up to Homecoming on Saturday night. The theme of the dance was Dancing With the Stars, and spirit week really helped get kids in the mood. Monday was Jersey Day, Tuesday was dress your age, with freshmen dressing as babies, sophomores as Tweens, juniors as moms and dads, and seniors dressing as senior citizens. Wednesday was Powderpuff Day; the sophomores beat the freshmen, and the seniors beat the juniors, 13-12. Thursday, the students dressed as their favorite celebrity, and Friday was greenout, showing the most Bethel Spirit. This week got everyone in the mood for the big football game on Friday night.

The game was an amazing night, and the team played great, despite the loss. They had a great offense and were constantly putting their best foot forward to score a touchdown.

The Bees play Covington on October 2 at Covington. Good luck Bethel!
