SpringHill Suites by Marriott completes renovations

VANDALIA- The SpringHill Suites by Marriott revealed the results of an estimated $2,2 million in renovations on Tuesday, June 2, during a ceremony hosted by the Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce.

“This renovation has been a true team effort,” SpringHill Suites Vandalia General Manager Amanda Deeter said. “Today is about more than a renovated hotel; it is about the people who made this transformation possible, and the future that we are building together.”

“We are excited to welcome guests into these beautifully refreshed spaces, and continue delivering the hospitality and service that define our team,” she said.

Located at 3591 York Plaza Lane, SpringHill Suites by Marriott opened in 2016. All of the hotel’s 116 rooms are suites, featuring a pull-out sleeper sofa, microwave and mini-fridge.

“Every room is a suite,” SpringHill Suites Area Director of Sales Caitlin Garber said. “It’s really good for families.”

The hotel features a fitness center and heated indoor swimming pool, as well as a newly-renovated bar and lounge area, meeting room and outdoor patio.

“What sets us apart is we have a bar and lounge area,” Garber said. “None of the hotels on this strip do. We also have a really nice outdoor patio area, with a gas fireplace, and a corporate meeting room that can hold up to sixteen people.”

More information can be found online at www.marriott .com, and special pricing is also available for members of the Marriott Bonvoy program.

“If you join the Marriott Bonvoy program, there’s a really great deal through there,” Garber said. “You can also contact me if they have any wedding groups or corporate groups, because I can get them discounts as well.”

“We actually do have a decent amount of availability,” she said. “We book up pretty quickly through the week, but weekends we’re always happy to work with people on pricing.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was hosted by the Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce, and featured an open house with tours of the hotel’s newly-renovated spaces as well as a performance by local artist Scott Hutchens in the new bar/lounge area.

“It’s a beautiful renovation,” Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce President Nick Kavalauskas said. “Thank you for being a good steward to the community.”

“Renovations of this scale are no small undertaking,” Deeter said, thanking the hotel’s ownership group, Witness Investments, contractors Osbourn & Associates, and the hotels management, the Ivy Hospitality Leadership Team.

Deeter also thanked the hotel’s staff members, who worked through the renovations while the hotel remained open.

“To our incredible associates, this is your accomplishment as much as anyone’s,” Deeter said. “Over the past several months, you’ve shown tremendous flexibility, patience, and dedication behind the scenes.”

“I couldn’t be prouder of this team,” she said.
