Slingin’ Mudd plans second annual Tires & Tortillas event
BETHEL TOWNSHIP- Custom trucks, Jeeps, and vehicles of all kinds will be on display at Slingin’ Mudd on State Route 201 on Saturday, May 30, during the second annual Tires & Tortillas event.
“Even if people don’t have a vehicle they want to show, they should definitely still swing by,” Slingin’ Mudd Manager Ruth Ann Fiessinger said. “Anybody is more than welcome to come on out and check out the shop and check out what we do. It should be a really good time to hang out with everybody.”
The event, which runs from 1 to 4 p.m., will feature a car and truck show with approximately 100-150 vehicles, merchandise vendors, and product displays from company representatives.
What the Taco food truck will be onsite, and the event will also include representatives from companies including Valkyrie Offroad, Mad About Mud, the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway, Jeff Wyler Springfield Auto Mall, Brindle Farms, and Decked, among others.
City Tint, LLC will offer onsite window tinting for customers as time allows, and a demonstration of the window tinting process.
“The event is basically just a way of showing appreciation to our customers,” Fiessinger said. “It gives our customers a nice place to hang out and see other vehicles that we’ve done, or maybe come and get ideas from vehicles that we’ve done.”
“Our rep from Decked will be here with his rig,” she said. “That is an item that maybe some people haven’t seen before, or seen in real-life use, so they can see what that’s about. He’ll also have goodies for everybody.”
The event will also feature vendors from Brindle Farms with honey, handmade soap and other items.
“Brindle Farms is a local farm in Delaware,” Fiessinger said. “They’ll have fresh bread.”
“They actually make their own honey,” she said. “They make their own soap, and stuff like that.”
“There’s going to be several vendors,” Fiessinger said. “We’re going to have City Tint, LLC; they are going to be window tinting onsite, so customers can see what that process is.”
Located at 9250 State Route 201, Slingin’ Mudd sells and installs top of the line upgrades, wheels, tires, lift/leveling kits, winches, bedliners, lighting, apparel, accessories and paint care products. More information can be found online at www.slinginmudd.net.
“We actually outfit all kinds of vehicles,” Fiessinger said. “We do trucks and Jeeps, but we also do the fleet side as well, so we’ll do shelving, bulkheads, and a lot of racks and stuff like that. We’re partners with ProTrim of Ohio.”
“Slingin’ Mudd has been in this location for about four years,” she said. “We’ve been in business for about ten years; we were on OH-235 across the street from where Buc-ee’s is, that now houses City Tint LLC.”
The Tires & Tortillas event was first started last year, Fiessinger said.
“We had about 150 vehicles show up,” she said. “It was really nice to have a lot of people here to support us and support local. A lot of our vendors who are going to be here are also local, or customers of ours.”
“The one last year did really well, so we decided to do it a second time,” she said. “I think this is going to be the only event we do every year, but we’ll be at other local events as well, to represent and support the community.”
