Local VFW Posts generously support the Ashley Flynn Memorial

The Sabec Memorial VFW Post 9582 is proud to donate $5,000 to the Ashley Flynn Memorial.

On February 16, Ashley Flynn’s life was tragically taken. The memorial fund has been created to help ease her family's burden in the days and months ahead. A GoFundMe continues (https://www.gofundme.com/f/f9345-in-loving-memory-of-ashley-flynn) if anyone wishes to contribute.

Supporting causes like this is part of who they are—serving their community goes beyond their walls. So far in 2026, Sabec Memorial VFW Post 9582 has generously donated $43,842. Those organizations include Butler Alumni Association ($1500), Germanfest Picnic ($1000), K-9 Association ($2000), Butler Youth Wrestling ($2000), and Sister City Octoberfest ($5000)

Also of note, the Edward D. Martino Memorial VFW Post 4615 recently donated $25,000 to the Ashley Flynn Memorial. The funds were raised through a Saturday, March 21 event. These funds will be allocated to a trust and scholarship fund for Ashley’s children.
