When Downtown Comes Alive: The St. Paddy’s Day Beer Crawl in Tipp City
Downtown Tipp City was buzzing with energy on the first Saturday of March as the St. Paddy’s Day Beer Crawl welcomed a sold-out crowd to our historic streets. Guests made their way through downtown, stopping at participating locations to sample a variety of beers while exploring shops, restaurants, and spaces that make Tipp City so special. For many, it was not just about the tastings. It was about experiencing downtown in a new way, finding new favorite places, and enjoying a night out with friends.
What made this year especially meaningful was who showed up. Roughly two-thirds of attendees were from Tipp City, a strong reflection of local pride and support for downtown. At the same time, more than a third of guests traveled in from surrounding communities, reinforcing that Tipp City continues to grow as a destination worth visiting. It is that balance that creates real energy and impact.
We also saw a strong female presence throughout the evening, with groups of friends gathering, laughing, and fully embracing the experience together. That feedback is already shaping the future of the event, with plans to expand cider and seltzer offerings next year to better reflect the tastes of our attendees.
Throughout downtown, each stop created a unique experience thanks to the creativity and hospitality of our participating businesses. A huge thank you to Mauk Cabinets by Design, Main Street Financial Group Thrivent, Royal Crest Insurance, Zach Snyder Flooring and Design, Pathways Wealth Management, Thunder Forge Gaming, Bloomora Botanicals, Seven Sisters Apothecary & Art, Always Blooming, Living Simply Soap, Browse Awhile Books, and Fox and Feather Trading Co. for opening your doors and creating memorable moments for our guests.
We heard so many great stories throughout the night. Early bird participants were surprised with event shirts, custom made at Fox and Feather Trading Co. The beer cheese meatballs at Main Street Financial Group Thrivent quickly became a crowd favorite, while the incredible spread at Mauk Cabinets by Design made check-in and gathering a highlight of the evening.
Behind the scenes, the success of the night was driven by the same spirit that defines Downtown Tipp City. Volunteers dedicated their time to planning, organizing, and executing every detail. Merchants went above and beyond to create welcoming and engaging spaces. From check-in to the final stop, every moment reflected a shared commitment to creating something meaningful for the community.
This event was made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors. A special thank you to our presenting sponsor, Pathways Wealth Management, and to our event sponsors American Air Care, Abbey Credit Union, Taft Law, Bashfoo, Mauk Cabinets by Design, and Main Street Financial Group Thrivent. Your investment in downtown helps make experiences like this possible.
Beyond the fun and festivities, the St. Paddy’s Day Beer Crawl also serves a larger purpose. This event is a fundraiser supporting the Economic Development Committee of the Downtown Tipp City Partnership. This committee is currently focused on building a sustainable small business grant program designed to support downtown businesses with improvements, growth opportunities, and long-term success. Events like this help lay the foundation for that work. They allow DTCP to invest not only in experiences, but in the future of our downtown.
The energy throughout the evening made one thing clear. Downtown Tipp City is more than a destination. It is a place where people come together, support one another, and create something bigger than themselves.
When our community shows up, this is what it looks like.
The Downtown Tipp City Partnership is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a nationally accredited Main Street America program, and an Affiliate Heritage Ohio program
