Deeter and Moeller advance to District Wrestling Tournament

The wrestling postseason is in full swing and the Bulldogs are competing at the top.

The boys team competed at the Division III Sectional Tournament on Feb. 28 at Versailles High School. The team's two girls, Amelia Moeller (135) and Brooklyn Berkshire (110), competed at Eaton High School.

Moeller (135) earned a third place finish. With this placement, she qualified for the District Tournament, which will be held at Harrison High School on March 8. This marks the highest sectional finish and the first-ever girls wrestling district qualifier in Milton-Union history.

Also advancing to districts, which will take place at Troy’s Hobart Arena, is Eli Deeter (285), who placed second at sectionals. Isaac Sowers placed fifth and will serve as an alternate for districts.

Other athletes who placed were Seth Lowry and Daulton Guthzeit, who each placed sixth and wrapped up their wrestling careers.
