Tipp City Schools opens New Operations Center to strengthen districtwide support services

Tipp City Schools celebrated the official opening of its new Operations Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking a major milestone in the district’s ongoing investments in safe, reliable, and efficient school operations.

While schools are often associated with classrooms, buses, and extracurricular activities, district leaders emphasized that none of it happens without the behind-the-scenes work that supports students and staff every day.

“Our operations team is the engine that supports learning across the district—transportation, maintenance, grounds, custodial services, deliveries, and daily problem-solving that most people never see, until something goes wrong,” said Superintendent Aaron Moran. “This facility is about strengthening that foundation.”

The new Operations Center provides centralized space and resources designed to help staff work safely and effectively, including storage and coordination areas for buses, materials, trailers, equipment, and day-to-day operational needs. District leaders noted the improved facility will enhance the district’s ability to keep buildings maintained, transportation dependable, and campuses ready each morning.

Moran recognized the partners and teams who helped bring the project to completion.

“I want to recognize the people who made this possible,” Moran said. “Thank you to our Board of Education and Level MB. Thank you to the transportation, maintenance, and custodial teams for the countless details they manage and for always keeping students at the center of their work.”

District officials also framed the new facility as part of a larger, long-term effort to invest in systems and infrastructure that support teaching and learning.

“As a district, we’re making thoughtful investments that support students today and position Tipp City Schools for the future, improving our buildings, strengthening our systems, and creating the conditions where teaching and learning can thrive,” Moran said. “It’s not always the most visible work, but it matters.”

The superintendent closed by highlighting the district’s appreciation for its operations staff and the impact of their work across Tipp City Schools.

“To our transportation and maintenance staff: this building is for you, and it reflects how much we value what you do,” Moran said. “Your work shows up in safe buildings, reliable transportation, and schools that are ready every morning for students and staff.”
