The Grass Roots — Live in Concert

Gateway Arts Council Presents: The Grass Roots — Live in Concert

The Gateway Arts Council is thrilled to announce that The Grass Roots—one of America’s most enduring and beloved rock bands—will take the stage on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Sidney High School Auditorium. Tickets are now on sale at gatewayartscouncil.org or by calling 937‑498‑2787.

With a legacy spanning more than six decades, The Grass Roots have delivered some of rock's most recognizable hits, including “Let’s Live for Today,” “Midnight Confessions,” “Temptation Eyes,” “Sooner or Later,” and “Two Divided by Love.” Their story began in 1965 in Los Angeles with songwriters P.F. Sloan and Steve Barri, and the band skyrocketed to fame when Rob Grill joined Warren Entner, Creed Bratton, and Rick Coonce—launching a run of chart success matched by only a handful of groups, including The Beatles. From 1967 to 1972, The Grass Roots spent an astonishing 307 consecutive weeks on the Billboard charts, earned 29 charted singles, 13 gold records, and appeared 16 times on American Bandstand. In 1982, they set the all‑time U.S. attendance record for a single‑act concert with 600,000 fans in Washington, D.C. Today’s lineup, personally chosen by Rob Grill, continues to bring their timeless sound to audiences of every generation.

This performance is brought to the community in part by the Ohio Arts Council, along with generous support from Ken & Mary Beth Monnier, NK Telco, Gibbs Farms LLC, New Richmond Bank, the Community Foundation of Shelby County, Honda of America, the Sidney Visitors Bureau, and Ron & Nitas. Their commitment to the arts helps ensure that world‑class entertainment continues to thrive in the Northern Miami Valley.

Join us for an unforgettable night of classic hits, legendary storytelling, and the unmistakable sound that has defined The Grass Roots for more than half a century. Secure your seats now and be part of a concert experience that inspires, uplifts, and delights.
