FGKS Law announces Colleen Reilly Gong and Michael J. Scarpelli as partners with FGKS Law

FGKS Law is happy to announce that Colleen Reilly Gong and Michael J. Scarpelli have become partners with the firm effective January 1, 2026. Colleen’s areas of concentration include labor and employment law, corporate and commercial matters, and corporate trainings, while Mike’s areas of concentration include business and civil litigation.

FGKS Law, whose formal name is Faulkner, Garmhausen, Keister & Shenk, is a full-service law firm of 16 attorneys with offices in Sidney, Ft. Loramie, Troy, and Celina. The firm has an emphasis on business transactions, business and civil litigation, employment law, real estate, and estate planning, and also offers real estate closings and title searches through its title agency, Western Ohio Title Agency.

Colleen graduated cum laude from John Carroll University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies and graduated from the University of Cincinnati, College of Law in 2018. While at UC, Colleen was a fellow for the Ohio Innocence Project and member of the Moot Court Honor Board. Colleen currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Sidney-Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Northern Counties Advisory Council for Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley. She recently completed her term as Secretary of the Board of Directors for Shelby County CASA/GAL. Colleen and her husband, Michael, have two sons, Thomas and Kevin. 

Mike graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Studies, and graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from the University of Cincinnati, College of Law in 2015. While at UC, Mike was an editor for the Law Review. Mike currently serves as a Board Member for the Shelby County United Way and recently completed his term as President of the Dayton Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Mike and his wife, Ashley, have two sons, Aiden and Leo.
