Halloween DJ Dance Party offers safe, spirited night for teens

Student-led event mixes creativity, community impact, and clean fun this Halloween

For middle and high school students who have outgrown trick-or-treating but still crave a night of Halloween fun, Ginghamsburg Church is hosting a student-led Halloween Costume DJ Dance Party in the Avenue at Ginghamsburg's Tipp City Campus, happening Friday, October 31 from 8–11 p.m. at 6759 S County Road 25A, Tipp City.

With doors opening at 8pm, students can free-roam the Avenue all evening—enjoying basketball, movies, table sports, and more—but the dance floor is the heartbeat of the party. DJ Dorsey, Party Instigator will keep the energy high all night long, while background-checked adult volunteers keep things safe (and judge the costumes).

“We see Halloween as a chance to lean into creativity and community," says Dan Bracken, Ginghamsburg Student Ministry Volunteer. "Costumes open the door for imagination, and we believe God—the ultimate Creator—delights in creativity for its own sake. Exploration, expression, and diversity are built into the season, and we want to celebrate those things in a way that’s safe, positive, and fun."

The Heart Behind the Party

“We love Jesus—and we do something about it,” says Bracken. “Our goal isn’t to pull kids away from their own churches. This event is designed to meet students who don’t already have a place to belong—an opportunity for them to connect with the church in a non-intimidating way. We’re intentional about keeping things “non-evil”, while rewarding creativity and connectivity."

Behind the music and costumes, Ginghamsburg volunteers are ready to build real relationships. They practice conversations that are relevant, open-minded and practical. Every conversation points toward an open invitation: come and see who Jesus is. At the end of the day, Jesus eats (and dances) with everyone.
