MU Golf Hosts Senior Night
Golf season starts in early August at Milton-Union, which means senior night comes early too! The boys and girls’ seniors were honored within the past week for their accomplishments on the course.
The senior girls consist of Evie Dehus and Scarlett Crowe. Dehus shared that her future plans consist of attending a university and playing golf, where Crowe plans to attend Sinclair for finance and transfer to the University of Dayton to obtain her bachelor’s degree.
In their senior night match, the team defeated both Covington and Ansonia in a tri-match at Homestead Golf Course. The ‘dogs shot a 201, Covington a 260 and Ansonia 286. Junior Addi Case medaled with a 41. Dehus shot a 45, Crowe shot a 55 and Hadley Galentine shot a personal best of 60.
The girls finished their league regular season with a 9-1 record. Congratulations to the girls golf seniors!
On the boys side, they celebrated Isaiah Zellers, Keaton Jones and Austin Hodkin. The team played against Miami East where they fell 165-171. Junior Hunter Fraley led the ‘dogs with a 41.
The boys teams next round was against Troy Christian on Sept. 17 where they lost 162-162 in a fifth score tiebreaker. 162 was the lowest score of the year for the Bulldogs. Freshman Will Coate shot a 39 to lead the team. The final record for the team was 4-10, and they will have competed in the Three Rivers Conference Championship on Sept. 18.
