Scout Troop 589 Visits Optimists

On Saturday, September 6th, members of Boy Scout Troop 589 were the guests of the Tipp-Monroe Optimists. Scout leader Jim Ridgeway and scouts Chris and Brandon (right) gave details of the many activities the troop has been involved in, including blacksmithing, local river clean-up, and painting mums on sidewalks all around town. Optimist treasurer Gary Spangler (left) presents a $100 donation to the troop.
