City Manager’s Weekly Update

Summit Landing – All blasting in the subdivision is complete. Standard subdivision construction will now continue as usual.

Construction Blasting Regulations- The City is planning to have a discussion with City Council regarding the City Ordinance that currently allows blasting for construction. This will be an initial discussion to discuss potential options moving forward.

Parks Master Plan- The first Steering Committee meeting was held last week and was very productive. A community survey is now live, and we encourage all residents to participate and share their input to help shape the future of Tipp City’s parks system.

Uptown Development- The City continues working through legislation to establish a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district and a New Community Authority (NCA) to support planned uptown projects. At next week’s Council meeting, the first reading of an ordinance will be held to establish a TIF fund and approve the compensation agreement with Tipp City Exempted Village Schools.

The City has scheduled a public open house for Tuesday, September 24, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the Tipp City Government Center. This community engagement event will give residents the opportunity to meet with City staff and our development partner, Woodard Development, to learn more about the Uptown project. Staff will provide details, facts, and answer questions to help ensure residents are fully informed about this important project.

Capital & Operating Budget- The City’s internal budget review process is complete for both the 2026 operating budget and the five-year capital improvement plan. Copies have been distributed to City Council members this week and added to the website for the public to view. Staff will be presenting both to City Council on September 29 at 3 p.ml in council chambers. This meeting is open to the public.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement with our city's progress.
