Construction Updates: 25A detour, work at Burger King

Last week, Tipp City announced a County Rd. 25A road closure and detour. On April 29, 2025, as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements, CR 25A south of SR 571 will be closed in both directions from April 29, 2025, through May 30, 2025. The City is working to install additional signage to provide more details regarding the closure and detour routes. Detour routes are as follows:

•       Northbound traffic on CR 25A will turn right onto Blauser Drive, then left onto Kinna Drive, return to SR 571 West, and then turn left to reconnect with CR 25A.

•       Southbound traffic on CR 25A will turn left onto SR 571 East, then right onto Kinna Drive, and right again onto Blauser Drive, returning to CR 25A.

Construction in this intersection will be taking place for at least the next few weeks.

City Prepares for Burger King Demolition

Also, Tipp City began preparations to demolish the Burger King located near Tipp City Plaza. Members of the Tipp fire department were spotted on the rooftop, apparently using the location for temporary training. There were several pieces of apparatus in the parking lot, and the restaurant itself has been surrounded by chain link fence in preparation for demolition.

Interchange Beautification Continues

Construction has restarted on the Interchange Beautification Project, which began in September of 2024. New construction includes form work and concrete pouring in the northeastern quadrant of the project. Last year, work began on the western side of I-75, with crews installing concrete areas for future brickwork, plantings and signage. Work continued on the project in September, with more construction taking place in the southwest corner of the interchange. Work was suspended during the winter months.
