City Manager’s Weekly Update
Please see the highlights from this past week along with some upcoming items that will impact the City in the coming weeks.
Alley Improvements- Just before the recent winter weather, the City’s contractor completed this year’s alley improvement program. The finished product looks great. The City invested over $130,000 in these improvements. Listed below are the alleys included in this year’s program:
• W. Broadway and W. South Street
• S. Hyatt Street and S. 7th Street
• E. Broadway and E. South Street
• S. Third Street and S. First Street
Ohio Public Works Commission Grant- I’m pleased to share that the City has been awarded a $300,000 OPWC grant for a 2026 waterline project. I appreciate staff’s work on this application as we continue finding ways to support our major infrastructure needs.
Credentialed Ohio Fire Chief- Please join me in congratulating Chief Haller for earning the designation of Credentialed Ohio Fire Chief. The Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association selected Chief Haller based on his education, experience, community leadership, and fire service expertise. Congratulations again to Chief Haller on this outstanding achievement.
Employment Opportunities- Tipp City is currently accepting applications for City Planner/Zoning Administrator. For more information about these positions and the application process, please visit our website or contact Tipp City Human Resources.
Holiday Tree Lighting- The City is now accepting applications for the 6th Annual City Park Holiday Tree Lighting, beginning November 26th. A limited number of trees are still available. If you’re interested in reserving a tree, please contact the Municipal Services Department.
Leaf Pickup – Due to the late leaf season and recent winter weather, the City will continue leaf pickup throughout the community. We will provide additional updates to the public as the schedule progresses.
My Tipp City Mobile Application- We continue to encourage residents to download the My Tipp City Mobile App as a convenient way to receive real-time alerts and updates about City services and issues.
However, we understand that some residents may prefer not to download another mobile application. If that’s the case, you can still stay informed by signing up to receive these notifications via email.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement with our city's progress.
