Wrapping up fall sports
As the fall sports season wraps itself up and the ‘dogs approach winter, there were many athletes who received accolades from their respective fall sports.
In the world of girls’ soccer, the team finished as District-Runner Ups after a loss to Summit County Day. Although they were not champions, individuals from the team earned themselves awards.
Senior Kate Copp was named Three Rivers Conference (TRC) First-Team and Co-Player of The Year alongside Miami East’s Cher Sroufe.
Chloe Crabtree and Kennedy Nichols were also named First Team All-TRC, and Riley Shaw and Rayann Lower were named Second Team All-TRC.
The team was also awarded All-District honors. Copp was named First Team All-District and Crabtree was named Second Team All-District.
Nichols, Kenzie Shortride, Ella Smith and Autumn Rozenkranz were named Third Team All-District.
The last honors given out were the All-State honors, and Copp was the only player to receive this honor.
The football team ended their season with a comeback win over Bethel, 35-31. During this game, senior Charlie Lane surpassed 1,000 rushing yards in the 2025 season. He finished with a total of 1,068 yards, and rushed 166 yards and scored two touchdowns in the season finale victory over Bethel.
As for conference honors, Lane was named First Team All-TRC for his position as a defensive back, Jesse Williamson was named First Team All-TRC for his position on the offensive line and Seth Lowry received First Team All-TRC as a linebacker.
Second Team honors were given to Lane as a running back, Williamson as a defensive lineman, Jacob Schuler as a defensive lineman and Ben Carpenter on the offensive line.
Finally, honorable mention was given to Cason Berner as a linebacker, Eli Deeter as an offensive lineman and Schuler as a tight end.
On the cross country side of things, Colin and Grant Hinkelman both competed at the Division III State Championships. C. Hinkelman was named Second Team All-Ohio after his 27th place finish.
Lastly, the volleyball team received their conference honors. Michaela Firks was named First Team All-TRC, Raylin Combs was named Second Team and Bella Brazina and Zenna Hines were named Honorable Mention.
