Girls Golf competes at Districts for the first time
Just three short years ago, Milton-Union started their girls golf program, and on Oct. 1, they qualified and competed at the District Championships for the first time in history.
This team is made up of only four girls: seniors Evie Dehus and Scarlet Crowe, junior Addison Case, and freshman Hadley Galentine.
To recap what they’ve done in the postseason so far, they won the Three Rivers Conference Championship for the second time in a row and they also placed third at sectionals.
At the conference championships, Dehus and Case were named First Team All-Conference and Crowe and Galentine were named Honorable Mention All-Conference. They completed their regular season play with a record of 14-1.
And as mentioned before, they placed third at Sectionals, which allowed them to compete at Districts for the first time.
The District Championships were held at the Pipeline Golf Course in Miamisburg. The girls placed 10th overall with a team score of 417. Dehus led for the ‘dogs, shooting a 92. Case shot a 93, Crowe a 105 and Galentine a 127.
“It was a really great end to my senior year and a fun experience with an amazing group of girls,” Dehus said.
The team had a combined record of 51-22 including tournaments and regular season matches.
Dehus adds, “we are hoping to add more girls in the future to defend our title.”
The next open range will be on May 4, 2026.
