Run for the Mums 5K attracts 309 runners

The annual Tipp Monroe Community Services’ Run for the Mums 5K welcomed 309 registered participants to Tipp City Park on Saturday, Sept. 27, as part of the community’s Mum Festival weekend. Runners and walkers followed a scenic route through neighborhoods and along the Great Miami River Recreational Trail.

The top male finisher was Taton Bertsch with a time of 16:39, and the top female finisher was Gina Craun, who crossed the finish line at 21:20.9. To see the complete results, visit cantstoprunningco.com.

“We are thrilled with the strong turnout and the energy this event brings to the community each year,” said Denise Gross, TMCS Community Relations Coordinator. “The Run for the Mums not only celebrates health and fitness but also gives back to our local youth by supporting TMCS sports programs.”

All proceeds from the race benefit youth recreation programs offered through Tipp Monroe Community Services. The race, which has been held annually since 1978, coincides with the Tipp City Mum Festival and continues to draw participants from across the region.

The 2025 Run for the Mums was supported by premier sponsors Meijer, Regal Rexnord, Arenstein & Andersen, the Tipp City Mum Festival and Abbott. Their contributions help ensure the ongoing success of the race and the recreational opportunities provided by TMCS.
