Tipp City Schools considers new district branding
Tipp City Schools announces community meetings on district branding and new PK-8 school name
Tipp City Schools will host three community meetings to gather input on two initiatives that will help shape the district’s future: refreshing the district’s visual identity and naming the new PK-8 school currently under construction.
The district is working to develop a more cohesive visual identity that can represent Tipp City Schools across buildings, communications, signage, digital platforms, apparel, and other applications while preserving the traditions and identity associated with Tippecanoe High School.
The process follows recent Board of Education discussions in which members established several priorities for future branding work. The district identity should:
● Recognize district history and tradition.
● Create greater cohesiveness across Tipp City Schools.
● Clearly include Tippecanoe High School within the district identity.
● Work effectively across schools, athletics, signage, apparel, print, and digital platforms.
● Remain recognizable and relevant over time.
Community members will have an opportunity to review draft logo concepts, provide feedback, and suggest additional ideas that align with these criteria.
The district will also gather input on a name for the new PK-8 facility. In discussing the naming process, Board members identified three primary considerations: the name should stand the test of time, appropriately represent all ages served within the facility, and provide flexibility as district needs evolve.
Current naming options include:
● Tipp City Schools Learning Campus
● Tipp City Schools Central Campus
● Tipp City Schools Educational Campus
● Tipp City Schools Learning Academy
Community members may provide feedback on these options or suggest additional names that meet the established criteria.
Following the community engagement process, district administration will review the feedback and present the strongest branding and naming options to the Board of Education for further discussion and consideration.
The community meetings will be held:
● September 15, 10:00–11:00 AM — Tipp City Public Library
● September 16, 6:00–7:00 PM — L.T. Ball Intermediate School
● September 24, 6:00–7:00 PM — L.T. Ball Intermediate School
“We want these decisions to reflect both the history of Tipp City Schools and where the district is headed,” Superintendent Aaron Moran said. “Community input is an important part of that process, and these meetings will give people an opportunity to help shape an identity and a school name that will serve the district well for many years.”
Students, families, staff, alumni, and community members are encouraged to attend the meeting most convenient for them.
Those unable to attend may submit feedback through September 28 by emailing info@tippcity.k12.oh.us with “Branding” in the subject line. All submissions will be reviewed as part of the district’s decision-making process.
