Tippecanoe Historical Society holding Cemetery Walk

The Tippecanoe Historical Society is again holding a Cemetery Walk on Sunday, June 7, from 5:00- 7 00 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery on South Hyatt St. in Tipp City.  The rain date will be June 14.

As part of America's 250th birthday celebration, historical presentations about forebears connected to the Revolutionary War years will be delivered.  These sites are among the oldest in Maple Hill, and the individuals highlighted were born during the years of the Revolution. Also, most of their fathers fought for independence.

Those people are John Murray, Luther and Rebecca Chaffee, David Sheets, Abraham Favorite and John Retter.   Presenters will be Ed Merta, Joe Bellas, Anette and Jeff Calicoat, Jackie Wahl, and a volunteer member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Lee Emrick.

Come join us as you stroll from one site to the next and enjoy the presentations.
