Pickleball Courts get official ribbon cutting ceremony

Pickleball has become one of the fastest growing sports in the country. This sport brings people together, welcomes beginners, challenges experienced players, and creates friendships across generations. The Kyle Park courts represent an investment in quality of life. They give people a place to stay active, enjoy the outdoors, and build a stronger sense of community. This will be a place where neighbors meet, families play, friendships grow, and healthy competitions thrive.

The courts first opened in Fall 2025, and with the final finishing touches completed this spring, they’re now fully ready for residents to enjoy all season long. Public Works Superintendent Tony Hunt and the Parks Board made it official on Monday, May 11, with an official ribbon cutting. Hunt thanked City Council, Municipal Services and Public Works Department, Miami County Pickleball Association, the Tipp Foundation, Premier Health, and all the residents who advocated for more recreational opportunities in the community.

Hunt began the ceremonial ribbon cutting by saying, “While these courts may have already hosted some great matches, tonight gives us the chance to officially celebrate what they already mean to our community.  A place for connection, activity, and fun. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this project possible and to all the players who have already brought these courts to life. Now let’s make it official with the ribbon cutting and keep the games going!”
