Vintage Tipp

Nick Trost worked his way through the Ohio State Architectural College with magic tricks.  His father was Kenneth Trost, and he was a brother to Jayne Trost Powell.  He was a 1953 graduate of Tipp City High School.  

He became interested in magic when his father taught him a few card tricks and ordered supplies from magic magazines.  His specialty was card tricks. While in his early 20's he was already contributing material to various publications and producing short books, manuscripts and top-selling packet tricks.  He soon turned the hobby into a source of income, doing half-hour shows at church functions, banquets, and parties. Nick Trost passed away on October 23, 2008, at age 73.
