Parade and Costume Contest
Tipp Monroe Community Services (TMCS) held its annual Halloween Spooktacular on Monday, Oct. 19, welcoming approximately 150 children to its Halloween parade and costume judging contest.
Children and their families gathered at Broadway Elementary School before parading through downtown Tipp City. A Tipp City police vehicle and members of the Tippecanoe High School Marching Band led the parade, which featured costumed participants and Halloween-themed music. Ranger Vic and the Witches of Dow Street also joined the festivities.
“This is one of our favorite events of the year,” said Denise Gross, community relations coordinator for TMCS. “We love seeing all of the children in their costumes and the joy it brings to the community.”
Approximately 150 children participated in the costume judging contest, with a few adults joining in the fun. Winners received certificates and gift cards.
TMCS thanks Zion Lutheran Church, Eastern Star and Little Kindness for participating in the Trunk-or-Treat portion of the event. Special thanks go to Tippecanoe Masonic Lodge #174 and Gabe Reynolds for volunteering and running the games. Their support helped make the event a fun and memorable experience for local families.
Photos from the event are available on the TMCS Facebook page.
