Although there was no ribbon-cutting, Kirsten Hutton Interiors has been up and running since the weekend of Vintage in the Village. The interior design company is an exciting addition to downtown Tipp City, and business owner Kirsten Hutton is starting to feel at home.

If you look back on a particularly enjoyable Thanksgiving, Christmas, or even friendly gathering, you often remember the table, chairs, carpet, and artwork in the space where your memories were created. In a way, interior design is what keeps memories alive. Kirsten Hutton is both an interior designer and someone who values the way a space can have an impact on a person. Hutton offers just about everything a homeowner could possibly need to make their space their own. Kirsten has been an interior designer for almost ten years and is no stranger to cultivating an atmosphere specific to one’s personality. The seasoned business owner has completed projects big and small and grew up around the interior design way of life.
Kirsten began learning the ropes of interior design through her aunt, a fellow designer. She remembers tagging along to projects, learning about carpet material, and furniture. The now businesswoman grew to love the creativity behind interior design early in her journey. Kirsten moved to Tipp City in 2015 and has been perfecting her craft since. The Tipp City mom and entrepreneur incorporates timeless and hand-drawn renderings into her work, which adds a unique touch to each person’s home sweet home. What makes Kirsten stand out is her appreciation for each individual person’s creative point of view. Hutton says, “I love being able to walk into someone's home and get a feel for who they are.” Many interior designers are able to create a space that looks inviting and beautiful. However, Kirsten focuses her attention on how a place feels. Colors, layering, upholstery, and more can only take someone so far. Hutton uses her materials and pushes past the home design field, into the world of art and emotion. She believes that the art of buying things that you trust and that last has been lost. Through Kirsten Hutton Interiors, she brings this passion back to life.
Kirsten’s familial values shine throughout her creations. With the help of her father, Hutton is able to provide custom furniture that encapsulates each customer's distinctive style. She also has a specific knack for dining rooms. Hutton’s appreciation for artwork and gathering places pushes her past the limit of decoration and into the realm of creating a feeling and even memories that last a lifetime.
