New Bakery Addition is All the Buzz

One of Tipp City’s most coveted and oldest standing antique stores has gained a new baked goods addition. Midwest Memories houses many vendors in its storefront, from authors to candlemakers and popcorn, and now, freshly baked bread. Bee’s Breads made its debut on Sunday, July 26th, and has been cooking up smiles ever since.

Bee’s Breads is the joyful creation of Brandon Bessler. Brandon is both an animal and bread lover. The cat theme behind his baked goods resonates in his passion for fostering kittens for the Miami County animal shelter. Bee’s main logo is a tribute to one of Brandon’s favorite fosters. The late kitten was a vibrant and mischievous addition to Brandon’s family for a short time, and can be remembered fondly through his baked goods.

In addition to his logo, each individual bread label is creatively inspired by one of Brandon’s many cats. Bee’s Breads is also cleverly based on B as in Brandon, and Bee as in breads that are made from locally sourced honey.

Brandon’s bakery began as a small familial exchange. After his sourdough starter and creations took off with family and friends, Brandon decided to expand into a business setting. For him, the most rewarding part of selling bread is the smile on each customer’s face. When he caught wind that Midwest Memories was searching for a bakery-based vendor, Brandon took the opportunity and ran with it. He says, “I’m a dreamer, but I like to keep my feet on the ground.”

Brandon is currently working on a larger menu for Bee’s Breads. As of now, the most popular bread on the menu is the gorgeous braided Challah. The small business owner has also branched out into making breads from handmade powder with fruits such as strawberries picked in Troy. Brandon says, “Bee’s Bread is all about being locally sourced and homemade with whimsy.”

Brandon takes pride in his natural products and hometown heart. The Tipp City born and raised bread maker is an inspiring addition to the business community. Tipp City is buzzing with excitement to see what’s next for Brandon and his menu, and whatever Brandon creates next, customers are sure to loaf it.

Bee’s Bread is located inside Midwest Memories, 24 W. Main St., Tipp City.
