Winners announced in annual Fine Arts Show

The 18th Annual Hoffman Global Methodist Church Fine Arts Show was held in West Milton from August 8 to 11.

Those in attendance had the opportunity to vote for their top three favorite pieces among the 75 pieces on display.  Tallying up those votes led to the top three winners being: "Peace in the Valley" by Debby Gregory in first place, "Great Blue Heron" by Tom Kinarney in second place, and "Where the Buffalo Roam" by George Stum in third place.

First place prize received $400, second place received $300, and third place received $200.  Eleven other pieces received $100 each which include the following: Regina Dixon for "Gold Waves", Katie Ellis for "End of Summer", Quinci Hardy for "Prairie Prancer", Nanette Isaac for "2 Corinthians 5:17", Linda Lock for "Meko", Edgar Rapp for "Cathedral Notre Dame", Lisa Rife for "Oceans",  Regina Whipp for "Driving Great-Grandpa's Tractor", Xiera Younce for "Purrfect Peaches", Zella Younce for "Sweet Symphony", and Carole Schafer for "Country Store".

Jim and Tracy Sarver funded the award money.  The show is sponsored by the Hoffman Global Methodist Women.  Donations toward expenses are appreciated.  Money left over after expenses will go toward various mission projects.
