Tipp City Garden Club 2024 Garden’s Award

Each summer members of the Tipp City Garden Club explore neighborhood streets of Tipp to find eye-catching yards.  Club members then submit the street addresses to the Club’s Award Team as potential award nominees.  The primary requirement for a nomination to be eligible is that the resident at each address is “the” home's gardener.  This year 12 nominations were received and the club voted on five finalists.

The 2025’s Gardener’s Award recognizes Kelly and Woody Woodruff who reside at the corner of Tyler and Aspen Drive.

The Woodruff’s take great pride in the newest addition to their gardens, the 3-Season Garden, on their corner.  It is designed to have something of interest or in bloom spring, summer and the fall.  Their gardens flow from that corner with an impressive variety of trees and plants with many textures and colors.  The foliage and flora continue leading to a water feature in the shade of the tree lined backyard.

The Garden Club Award Team presented the Woodruff’s with a hand tool, the Cape Cod Weeder from A.M. Leonard in Piqua, as part of the 2025 award recognition.

On August 5th the Garden Club will be touring the VA Grotto Gardens with history and garden docents.  Guests are welcome.  Contact e.stefkovich@gmail.com for more information.
