Monroe Federal Celebrates 150 Years with Downtown Celebration
Monroe Federal’s 150-Year Anniversary Block Party kicked off Saturday, July 19, at noon, and Tipp City’s downtown was abuzz with food trucks, music, and even a ZIP LINE! Several stations and booths were set up for face painting, family friendly games in businesses, balloon animals, and local and area merchants selling their wares. Main Street was closed from the tracks to First street, a stage was set up at the corner of Third and Main, and a large bounce house was set up in front of Rad Candy.
Three tents were set up in front of the “world headquarters” of Monroe Federal, and at the nearby dunk tank, folks were enjoying tossing balls in an attempt to make the unlucky person in the tank drop into the water. On South Fourth Street, a Touch-a-Truck zone was set up, allowing folks to get up close and personal with a fire engine, cement truck, ambulance and other larger-than-life vehicles.
