Young writers find their voice at TMCS camp

Budding authors in Tipp City spent last week sharpening their writing skills during a Writer’s Camp hosted by Tipp Monroe Community Services (TMCS).

The camp, designed for students entering grades 3 through 7, provided participants with the opportunity to explore their creativity through a variety of writing activities. Students worked both independently and collaboratively in a welcoming environment that encouraged expression and growth. Each camper selected pieces of their work to be published in a printed journal, providing a tangible keepsake and sense of accomplishment.

The camp was led by Marliee Lake, a seasoned educator and published author, who guided students through the writing process and helped foster a love of storytelling. Writer’s Camp is one of many educational and enrichment opportunities offered by TMCS throughout the year. TMCS is a local nonprofit organization responsible for identifying and filling the needs of Tipp City and Monroe Township residents. We offer a range of recreational, educational, cultural, and social programs. For more information on the programs offered at TMCS, visit tmcomservices.org.
