Free Downtown Tipp City event 

Celebrating its 14th year of bringing the Miami Valley’s best live music to Tipp City, this year’s Tippapalooza Music Festival is approaching fast. 

The festival staff is happy to announce, thanks to a grant from the Tipp City Foundation, that this year’s festival will be free and open to all. 

The 2025 Tippapalooza Music Festival happens on Saturday, August 30, in historic downtown Tipp City. In addition to four exciting musical acts hitting the stage over the course of the evening, Tippapalooza will feature special food selections from our local establishments, which will offer a diverse mix of food and drink selections. This family-friendly atmosphere is perfect for enjoying some of the best musical acts coming out of Dayton’s dynamic music scene. Festival doors open at 5 p.m., with music starting at 6 p.m. and continuing through the evening.

Since the festival’s inception in 2012, Tippapalooza has curated a wide-ranging lineup of musical acts year after year. This year’s festival features four bands celebrating the Miami Valley’s rock credentials. 

“This year we are leaning more into rock,” said Tippapalooza President Bill Wendel. “Dayton is home to so many talented musicians with a variety of musical styles. We’re hoping to broaden horizons and maybe introduce the audience to some new sounds.”

Tippapalooza was founded to promote local music and to support local non-profits.

A music festival like Tippapalooza cannot operate without the generous support of local partners. The following organizations have leant their sponsorship support to Tippapalooza this year:

The family-friendly festival allows attendees to bring lawn chairs and encourages those attending to visit and support Tipp City’s downtown food establishments. Food and ice cream for Tippapalooza will be available from:

  • Red Devil Pizza

  • Rad Candy

  • AeCha Cafe 

Custom-made non-alcoholic lemonades will be provided by Sip N Smash, alcohol will be available from Chaffee’s Brewhouse and Harrison’s restaurant.
