Local Author and Journalist Debuts New Books
Author Mike Sakal to Host Series of Book Signings Across Miami Valley
Local author and journalist Mike Sakal is set to embark on a series of book signing and speaking engagements throughout the Miami Valley, offering readers multiple opportunities to meet him and learn more about his long-awaited history books, “Dayton Hungarians: Their Stories, Glories and Folklore,” in two volumes. For those able to attend, Sakal has announced several events in the coming weeks:
· Friday–Sunday, May 2–4: Sakal will be present at A World A’Fair, formerly known as the Dayton International World A’Fair, at the Greene County Fairgrounds and Expo Center, 120 Fairground Road, Xenia. This three-day festival highlights global cultures with performances, food, and exhibits, and Sakal’s presence adds a literary dimension to the festivities.
· May 10 from 1 - 3 p.m.: Sakal will be discussing his books at New and Olde Pages Books, located in Englewood.
· Saturday, May 17: Sakal will host a book talk and signing at the Milton-Union Public Library, 560 South Main Street, West Milton, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. This event offers a more intimate setting for readers to engage with the author and discuss his work.
