Generous Gifts to Help Support Tanzanian Children

Bruce Crabill and Myke Curl of Bigfoot Woodworks in Urbana have donated two artfully crafted segmented wood turnings to the Angel House Christmas Bazaar that will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., December 6, at Tipp City Global Methodist Church. The pieces were each created from four varieties of wood and remain in their natural color. The bowl consists of 577 pieces, and the vase is made of a remarkable 1,728 pieces. “We anticipate these magnificent items, as well as two exquisite quilts generously donated by Helena Schlafman and Barb Schimer, and five elegant, themed gift baskets, will generate the funds to allow us to reach our 2025 goal,” Gina Duncan said.

Proceeds from the 10th Bazaar will provide financial support for youth at Angel House Children’s Home and School in Tanzania, Africa. “Annual sponsorship for each child at Angel House is approximately $3,000,” Bazaar Team member, BJ Lamp said. “Our goal is to provide the funds to support three children.”

Thanks to the support of the community, in its first nine years, Angel House Christmas Bazaar has provided more than $46,000 in support. These funds have contributed to classrooms, furnishings, a kitchen/dining room, a science lab, and even paid the balance of their school bus loan.
