From the Superintendent of Tipp City Schools

As December arrives and we prepare to wrap up another calendar year, I’m reminded of the many reasons Tipp City Schools stands out. This time of year reflects a unique mix of energy, commitment, tradition, and community pride, all driven by the outstanding work of our students and staff.

Celebrations and Student Performances

One of my favorite parts of December is seeing our students shine in their winter performances. Across the district, our band, choir, theatre, and elementary programs have filled the stage with music and excitement. Whether it’s our youngest learners singing their first holiday songs or our older students showcasing impressive instrumental and vocal talent, these events highlight the creativity and dedication of both our students and the educators who support them, fostering pride in our district’s talent.

The teachers and directors behind the scenes pour their hearts into planning, rehearsing, organizing logistics, and supporting students every step of the way. Their passion and commitment make these performances possible, and we are grateful for their ongoing dedication to our students’ success.

Thank you to our families and community members who attend performances and events and cheer them on. Your active participation and support create lasting memories and strengthen our community pride.

An Impressive Football Season

We also want to celebrate our Tippecanoe High School varsity football team for an extraordinary and history-making season. Reaching the Final Four in the state playoffs is an incredible accomplishment, one that reflects remarkable dedication, teamwork, resilience, and heart. Our players, coaches, marching band, cheerleaders, families, and fans created an atmosphere of unity and pride that carried throughout the fall. This season will be remembered for years to come, inspiring our community and making us proud of our student-athletes' achievements.

PK–8 School Construction Progress

This year has been especially exciting as we begin to see real progress on the site of our new PK–8 school. Although no structure is visible yet, the essential early work is well underway: earthwork, utility installation, drainage improvements, and site preparation. These steps may not be as visually dramatic as steel going up, but they are absolutely critical to ensuring the building’s long-term stability, safety, and longevity.

We are pleased that the project remains on schedule. Each week brings meaningful forward movement beneath the surface — quite literally — and we look forward to sharing more visible milestones in 2026 as the foundation and structure take shape.

Opening of the Tipp City Schools Operations Center

Another significant step forward for our district is the official opening of our new bus garage and maintenance facility, now named the Tipp City Schools Operations Center. This space provides our transportation and maintenance teams with the modern facilities they need to support our schools efficiently and safely. From servicing our buses to staging districtwide maintenance operations, this center will play an essential role in keeping our daily operations running smoothly.

Looking Ahead

As we transition into the second half of the school year, we are excited for the learning opportunities and district initiatives ahead, along with continued progress on the PK–8 site and ongoing improvements across our facilities.

A Note of Gratitude

December is a wonderful time to pause and appreciate the people who make our district exceptional. Thank you to our dedicated staff, our supportive families, our volunteers, our community partners, and most importantly, our students. Your commitment to Tipp City Schools is evident in every success we celebrate.

On behalf of the entire district, I wish everyone a joyful holiday season filled with rest, connection, and celebration. Here’s to a safe, healthy, and inspiring start to the new year.
