Santa brings holiday cheer to Tipp City

Visit With Santa Event Draws Families and Supports Local Needs

The annual Visit with Santa event hosted by Tipp Monroe Community Services brought holiday excitement to Tipp City, welcoming more than 125 children and their families to Broadway Elementary School.

Admission to the event required a nonperishable food item, a new, unwrapped toy, or a cash donation. All donations collected will be distributed through Needy Basket to help local households during the holiday season.

Children enjoyed meeting Santa Claus, sharing their wish lists, and taking photos. The event also featured new games and crafts, a coloring station, festive music, Santa snacks, face painting by Sunshine and Clover Face Painting, and balloon art created by Ranger Vic.

Misty McDowell, TMCS program coordinator, expressed her gratitude to everyone who donated their time, money, and in-kind donations to help make this event successful. McDowell stated, “The snacks for the event this year were partly sponsored by Meijer. The Tippecanoe High School Octagon Club, Optimists and Kiwanis provided volunteers on Friday night and during the event. The Tipp City Park Dept., Tipp City Schools also provided support for the event.

“This event is one of our favorite holiday traditions,” said Kathy Taylor, TMCS executive director. “It’s a magical morning filled with joy and laughter, and it’s wonderful to see the community come together to support local families in need.”
