Living Well Functionally opens new 4th Street office
Members of the downtown Tipp City community welcomed Living Well Functionally Integrative Family Medicine to its new home in the Crowl Building, during a grand opening open house held on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Located at 11 S. 4th Street, Living Well Functionally offers family and pediatric medical services, Homeopathy and medical thermal imaging services, with a focus on functional medicine and integrative medicine.
Founded by Tipp City resident and Family Nurse Practitioner Cassandra Lin, Living Well Functionally also features Dr. Adam Welch, Certified Clinical Homeopath Emily Jasenski, and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Laura Churchman.
“In integrative medicine you look at the person as a whole, and you combine conventional and alternative treatments,” Lin said. “In functional medicine, you work to get to the root cause of what is going on. Instead of me just giving you a pill for your ill, we’re going to try to figure out why you’re having the issues that you are having.”
“We are a very balanced team,” Jasenski said. “We’re all just very deeply passionate about holistic care, and treating the whole person.”
“Our biggest thing is we’re stronger together,” she said.
“Having somebody that can be a sounding board and give other perspectives is really important,” Lin said. “You get better outcomes, and better care for your patients.”
A family business, the practice also includes Lin’s husband Htein Lin, who serves as IT administrator, and her son Braeden Lin, who assists with office and administrative duties.
“Her husband is the tech guy,” Jasenski said. “He keeps it all running, and her son is really influential. They’re both really, really great.”
Located in the rear of the Crowl building, Living Well Functionally features approximately 900 square feet of space, including adult and pediatric exam rooms, and medical thermal imaging.
The practice specializes in offering a combination of traditional medicine with Homeopathy and Homeopathic services.
“A lot of parents I’ve met want a more holistic approach,” Churchman said. “They want to know what is safe to use that’s alternative, and when to consider an antibiotic or other forms of medication.”
“Homeopathy is its own type of natural medicine,” Jasenski said. “These services are very unique in the area.”
The practice also specializes in supporting patient choices.
“A lot of families have been kicked out of the practices that they were in for different reasons, and choices,” Churchman said.
“We support their choices,” Jasenski said.
Living Well Functionally is currently accepting new patients. More information can be found online through the Living Well Functionally Facebook page or at www.livingwellfunctionally.com.
“I like the location of Tipp City,” Lin said. “It’s very centrally located.”
“There used to be an integrated medicine practice here in town, and that doctor retired,” she said. “Since she’s been gone, there has just been a hole in this community.”
