Residents urged to complete survey

Residents urged to help PLAN Tipp City’s future by completing a community survey

Tipp City officials have started the process of updating the city’s Comprehensive Plan. It was deemed necessary by community officials to develop a Plan to lay the foundation and timing for future initiatives.

Beginning on Tuesday, April 29th, residents will be able to participate in a brief survey. A link to this survey can found on the home page of Tipp City’s website (https://www.tippcityohio.org) or by clicking here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PlanTippCity. The survey asks residents, business owners and other community stakeholders questions relative to their community’s priorities, growth, revitalization, and livelihood of the community.

According to the city’s community development director Matt Spring, the purpose of the comprehensive plan is to create a shared vision for the community while providing direction for desirable growth, revitalization, and the implementation of important priorities. The Plan will include recommendations for the community in many areas to include Community Services and Facilities, Housing and Neighborhoods, Economic Development, Future Land Use/Zoning, Infrastructure, Parks, Recreation and Open Space, Transportation and Connectivity (streets, parking, bicycle, and pedestrian mobility).

In addition to the community survey, Tipp City middle and high school students will also be able to help in these efforts by taking a student survey. The entire process will take approximately one year, and the Comprehensive Plan will be ready for adoption in the summer of 2026.

Reveille, a Bowling Green, Ohio-based firm that specializes in comprehensive community development solutions, will assist a 16-member steering committee comprised of community and business representatives in developing Tipp City’s Comprehensive Community Plan.

Printed copies of the survey can also be obtained at the Tipp City Government Center located at 260 South Garber Drive.
