New Plans Submitted for Senior Living Campus
The Tipp City Planning Board in October will review plans for a senior living campus subdivision near the recently opened Randall Residence assisted living facility off County Road 25A and Evanston Road.
The board Sept. 10 set a public hearing for its Oct. 8 meeting on the proposed plan for the Fieldstone Place Senior Living Campus. A new developer for the Fieldstone Place Senior Living property, identified as Walt Minch of Centerville Development Group, will propose 36 quad-style structures. The original plan for the property approved in 2010 called for a combination of congregate living apartments and independent living cottages.
City Still Receiving Some Estate Taxes
Although the estate tax has been repealed in the state, Tipp City still is receiving payments as estates of those who died before Dec. 31, 2012, are settled.
City Manager Jon Crusey told the city council in a report that the city has received $97,400 from the estate tax this year. City administrators had estimated $30,000 for this year from the tax.
