The City of Tipp City will hold a public meeting at 6 pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 for the W. Dow Street Reconstruction Project.
The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers of the City Government building at 260 S. Garber Drive in Tipp City. Owners, residents, and neighbors are encouraged to attend.
The Project is planned in two phases. The first phase will be the reconstruction of W. Dow Street from Hyatt east to Fifth and is planned to begin after school is out June 7th and be substantially complete before school reopens on August 27th. The second phase, from Hyatt to Rohrer will be constructed either this year or next, depending on the bids and the cost to construct. Both phases will replace the water, sanitary, and storm sewer, including services, new curb and sidewalk, and new roadway base and pavement.
Choice One Engineering has completed their preliminary design and we will have construction drawings available to view and discuss the project at the meeting. Our goal is to advertise for bids and award the project in May this year, with construction of underground utilities beginning in June 2013.
This Project was identified as one of our priority projects with the passage of the 2011 Income Tax Levy. It will be funded with this local income tax and our water, sanitary, and electric utility funds.
Should you have any questions prior to the meeting, please feel free to contact Scott P. Vagedes.
