Tipp City Area United Way Celebrates Jesse Chamberlain serving on the Board of Directors for 50 Years! Deborah Carr, Executive Director stated, “Not every organization can boast about having a board member serve for 50 Years.  It is an enormous privilege working with someone like Jesse; who has and is serving our United Way and community so compassionately.  We are blessed to have a longstanding and devoted board member serve with us.  Even though we are still fundamentally the same organization that we were when Jesse started serving on the board, there has been changes.  Jesse has seen us through those changes, and has grown with us.”

Jesse Chamberlain has served in many capacities over the duration of 50 years, President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Audit and Finance Committee Chair, Executive Committee member, just to name a few.  The hours of volunteer time he has given is countless.  Currently, Jesse is serving as Treasurer, Audit and Finance Chair, and Executive Committee member.

Scott Vagedes, President of the Tipp City Area United Way stated, “I would like to thank Jesse for the many years of dedicated service to our community.  He has continued to help us grow and I am sure Jesse will continue the history of assisting others through our United Way.  It has been an honor to work alongside of him in helping our community.”

“On a personal note, stated Stan Evans, United Way Board Member, “It has been a privilege and pleasure to work with Jesse on the Finance Committee during my years with the United Way board.  He is always a leader in dealing with issues at hand, but he is also such a good mentor for facing future events that will occur on the financial side.  His friendship and willingness to help dates back to the 1970’s not only for me, but also for the benefit of the community, including Tipp City Rotary, Tipp City Area Chamber of Commerce, Tipp City Foundation, and the Tipp United Methodist Church to name a few.  Because of Jesse, I’m a better person and Tipp is a better community,”

The Tipp City Area United Way looks forward to many more years of working with Jesse Chamberlain.  His work, kind heartedness, and expertise have been and will continue to be, an asset to our community and United Way.  Thank you for 50 years of service!
