|Township Trustees Announce Bridge Replacement Projects|

From a recent Miami County Road Certification meeting the Monroe Township Trustees learned of several bridge replacement projects planned in Monroe Township for 2013.
The trustees announced at their February 19 meeting these project areas include the bridge on East Ginghamsburg Road east of I-75, and one on Troy-Frederick Road. Schedules for road closures will be announced in the near future.
As a reminder to area residents, a public meeting about a South County Road 25A Reconstruction and Widening Project from State Route 571 south to Evanston Road is set for Monday, February 25 from 4-6 p.m. at the Tipp City Government Center. Individuals may participate in a discussion and question and answer session with Tipp City officials and representatives from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) regarding this project.
Work preparations at township grounds and buildings discussed at the Tuesday evening meeting included upcoming spring cemetery clean-up at Maple Hill Cemetery; process needed for opening of a new section to Maple Hill Cemetery; and boiler maintenance, and the pulling of shrubs at the township building in preparation of downtown streetscape plans this spring and summer.
Bills paid at the township meeting equaled $34,545.56.
The next township board meeting will be Monday, March 4 at 7 p.m.
