While Bruns Realty excels at finding or developing properties for residents & corporations, it also serves as a perfect fit for Matt Owen & Stacy Stump to explore a new career path as realtors. After each worked for years in different fields, the two Tipp City natives both felt compelled to be part of such a respected local business.
Owen previously served as President of the Tipp City Chamber for five years and would sit next to Steve Bruns, owner of Bruns Realty, at the weekly Rotary lunches. Their conversations often revolved around the realty industry and as Owen’s interest rose a job description for him began to be discussed along with the input of General Manager Mike Caughill. “It became a very excellent opportunity,” said Owen.
In the winter of 2011, Owen obtained his real estate license from Hondros College, at the same time as Stump. He now sells construction services and real estate, focusing primarily on commercial properties but is branching out into more residential.
A full service brokerage firm, Bruns Realty specializes in sales, leasing, appraisal, property development, financing options and construction management. Its wide range of offerings is what attracted Owen to the company. “It’s everything under one roof. We can do it all for you,” he said.
Prior to Tipp, Owen also served as the Chamber President in Dayton for five years and the combined experiences have been a benefit in his current position. In both roles his goal to help businesses grow is the same. “With the Chamber I learned about businesses and their everyday challenges. I have carried those lessons over here in trying to fulfill the needs of any business,” said Owen.
The desire to satisfy the customer is also Stump’s central objective as she knows the value of a dependable agent. “I pride myself with being available 24/7 for my clients as I’ve had personal experiences on both sides, as a buyer and a seller, and know how important that is,” she said.
Stump has always had an interest in real estate, but her time was spent being a mother, managing a horse farm, and owning a recruiting & marketing firm. After she also began talking to the management team of Bruns, Stump was ready to get on board.
Working with both residential and commercial clients, Stump provides quality service, personal care, honesty and dependability. She’s also very pleased to be working in Tipp City. “Representing Bruns Realty in a community that I love is something I’m very happy to be a part of,” she said.
Though Owen enjoyed his time with the Chamber and relishes the memories he’s excited about his current venture. “I absolutely loved serving in the Chamber and I miss it, but it was time, and I believe that new blood is important. And to come back and serve in my hometown is an honor,” he said.
