On Saturday, May 12th food was collected by local mail carriers while delivering their routes and at Food Town. This year we did see an increase and estimate over 4,000 pounds of food was collected and stayed here locally to help fill out local pantries.
This weekend effort was the 20th annual food drive which is done the second Saturday in May. The National Association of Letter Carriers, The United States Postal Service, Campbell’s Soup Company, AARP, the American Rural Letter Carrier Association, AFLC-CIO, Valpak, United Way and Uncle Bob’s Storage are all proud sponsors of this annual event. The Tipp City Postal Employees wish to thank everyone who donated to this year’s event. This drive is one way to help “stamp out hunger.”
