FOREMAN, James Joseph, 83, of Tipp City, died August 27, 2016. Born December 24, 1932, to the late Mary Kathryn Foreman Ryan & Jay W. Foreman.  Jim was preceded in death by his stepfather, Frederick Ryan; brother, Thomas Ryan; son, David Foreman; twin infant granddaughters; and nephew, Joe Ryan. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lurene; daughter, Lynda Ehret; daughter-in-law, Erica Foreman; grandchildren: Andrew (Staff Sergeant USAF), Melanie, Alan, Natalie; six children from his first marriage: James, Deborah, Benjamin, Andrea, Kathy, Tom, & grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Pam) & Jerry (Donnie) Ryan; sister-in-law, Nancy Ryan; numerous nieces & nephews. Jim was an electrical engineer at WPAFB for 32 years where he earned two AF Civilian Meritorious Service medals & numerous other awards for service to his country. Jim was honored as a Kentucky Colonel & belonged to the Association of Old Crows, American & Miami Valley Iris Societies. He loved showing his beautiful iris, especially when tour buses of iris growers visited. He also proudly displayed the 4' lighted, four-sided dollhouse he made for Lynda. Other passions included computers, photography, tropical fish, his cats, & space. After retiring, he worked for Loral in Yonkers, NY. He held various community positions & was involved with the Dayton Air Show for several years. Jim was very active in Tipp City & Vandalia Butler STEM programs & thoroughly enjoyed teaching kids, as well as judging area high school science fairs. Jim loved following NASA, printing pictures & articles of their missions, & sharing with anyone who would listen! Graveside service September 2 at 1:00 at the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, 8135 N. Janice L. (Messenger) Belding, age 88 of West Milton, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015.  She was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration in West Milton.  

Marvin Eugene Oakes, age 70, of Tipp City, passed away Saturday September 6, 2015 at Spring Meade with Vitas Hospice.
