The Tippecanoe volleyball team is eyeing the top of the mountain tomorrow night, as they travel to Tecumseh for a match up with the league-leading Arrows, and a chance to play a major factor in the division title. Tecumseh is 5-0 in the CBC, while Shawnee is 4-1 and Tippecanoe is 3-2, with all three still wanting to bring home the title.

Tipp finished fourth in the Casstown Classic, held at Miami East High School. In their opener, they defeated Bishop Ready 25-21, 25-18. Aubrey Cox had seven kills and three blocks for the Red Devils, while Alyssa Crusey added six kills and two aces. Taylor Prall had four kills, Kara Trimbach 19 assists and Jordan McMahan with 11 digs.

Game two saw Tipp fall to Belmont (IN) 25-23, 25-12. Crusey and Cox each with five kills, Trimbach 15 assists, McMahan 10 digs.

In their final game, Tipp lost to Miami East 25-16, 25-16. Crusey led with seven kills, Laura Rosselit with 10 assists and McMahan eight digs.

Also last week, Tipp defeated Bellefontaine 25-6, 25-18, 25-14 for their eighth win of the season.

Cox led Tipp with 15 kills, four blocks while Emily Shuk added 12 kills for the Red Devils. Trimbach added 35 assists, while McMahan had 16 digs, Crusey had 13.

*Wrapping up the week, the Red Devils defeated Ben Logan 17-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-18 to move to 9-5 on the season.

Tipp recorded 47 kills in the match, but also had 34 unforced errors. Cox led with 16 kills, Crusey added 12. Trimbach also had 36 assists, McMahan 16 digs, while Taylor Braun and Crusey each with 11. Prall led with three aces.

Trailing 19-17 in game two (after already falling in the first game), Tipp made a run due to several errors from Ben Logan. Cox took over with three kills and two blocks to bring the Red Devils back and give Tipp a 23-22 lead. Crusey wrapped up the win with a kill.

Tipp jumped out 9-3 in game three thanks to the offense of Cox and Crusey, and solid defensive play of Braun and McMahan. With a 23-14 lead, Tipp closed off the win with a block from Cox and Trimbach, two Prall aces and a Crusey kill.

Tippecanoe Golf- Wyatt Wilson shot a team best 77 in the CBC tournament last week, as the Red Devils finished third overall in the CBC. Bradley Calhoun added an 84, Sam Fairbanks carded an 89, Spencer Brackman 90, Tucker Finders 94 and Sam Weatherly 98.

The Tipp girls placed second overall in the CBC this season, only behind Kenton Ridge. In the CBC tournament, Ally Chitwood was medalist with an 80, Sammie Rowland 94, Taylor Hudson 96, Tori Merrick 102, Lydia Stueve 111 and Emily Doll 122.

Tipp Soccer- The Red Devils split a pair of games with Wayne on Saturday. The boys’ squad lost a tough contest 2-1 to the Warriors, dropping their first game of the season. In the girls’ game, they defeated Wayne 4-0 to remain unbeaten. Scoring for Tipp were Alysha Harner (2), Holly Bernhold and Hunter McKinney.
