The Tipp City schools board of education OK’d several personnel-related items during its monthly meeting Feb. 27.

The board accepted the resignations of Sylvia Batting, Broadway cafeteria, and William A. Williams, substitute bus driver.

Also approved were the hirings of the following substitute teachers or teachers’ aides: Tina Bradley, Stan Kriesberg, Melissa Lange, Renee Matsunami, Jennifer Perrault, Shelby Rhodes, Kelley Stoltz and Ashlee Wright.

Supplemental positions filled were Jim Johnson, assistant high school baseball coach; Stephen Monath, pit musician; and Elaine Pleiman, costume designer. The latter two positions would be paid out of school productions.

Approved to provide athletic support services for the 2016-17 year were Vincent Godsey, Patti Gross, Brad Koopman, Aaron Oakes, Christine Schmidt and Cindy Wildermuth.

In other business, the board approved the following trips:

- High school band and choir to Orlando, March 25-30

- High school Devilaires, Newport, Ky., April 7-9

- High school track, Louisville, Ky., April 22.

The board also approved the purchase of a 2017-model Ford F-250 pickup truck with snow plow package for $30,674 through the state purchasing program.
