The Tipp City schools board of education approved more than $10,000 in grants from the Tipp Foundation during its Jan. 9 meeting.
The following grants were approved: Broadway school, percussion instruments, $618; L.T. Ball, COSI Columbus, $1,225; L.T. Ball, Garst Museum trip, $1,658; L.T. Ball, Columbus Art Museum trip, $1,200; Middle School, Powering Power of the Pen, $975; Middle School, Updated iPads, $1,295; Tippecanoe High School, Tiny House, $1,500; High School, Literary Journal, $700; and High School, ACT Seminar, $1,000.
In other business Jan. 9, the board appointed board member- building partners for the year as follows: Nevin Coppock, Carla Frame; Broadway, Frank Maus; L.T. Ball, Andrew Venters; Middle School, Sam Spano; and high school, Theresa Dunaway
